Our client, a high growth, wholesale Chemical Distributor is looking to hire a dynamic and analytical Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all aspects of the financial operations and company growth strategy. The ideal candidate is both an analytical storyteller and strategic partner, capable of scaling financial systems, managing risk, and helping guide company-wide decision-making alongside the CEO. in this $200M+ business, you will oversee accounting and take ownership of FP&A, treasury, reporting, and financial infrastructure—while playing a key role in the business's continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls, ensuring GAAP compliance
• Manage and mentor the Controller and broader finance/accounting team
• Build financial models and business cases to support new facility launches, capital investments, and geographic expansion
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury, and banking relationships
• Support the CEO in developing and executing strategic initiatives and expansion plans
• Continuously assess and improve internal systems, tools, and processes to support scale
• Assist in managing relationships with external auditors, tax professionals, and key vendors
• Provide clear, data-driven reporting to internal stakeholders and ownership

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting, or similar with a strong track record of academic performance
• MBA from a top tier university preferred
• CPA or CMA a plus
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
• Prior experience as a VP of Finance/Corporate Controller in a middle-market company
• Industry experience in distribution, manufacturing, chemicals, or industrials strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial environment
• Experience with multi-site operations and capital investment evaluation
• Hands-on leadership style with a collaborative, team-focused mindset
• Strong systems orientation and ability to implement scalable financial infrastructure
