Job summary

Athabasca Catering Limited Partnership is seeking a Working Chef for a remote fly-in mining facility in Northern Saskatchewan. You will lead a culinary team, manage food costs, and uphold food-safety standards while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Compensation is $64,000-$68,000 CAD per year plus benefits, meals, travel expenses, and accommodation. Full-time, permanent position with 2-week rotations and 11-hour days; shift work at remote sites requires flexibility.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of kitchen/culinary leadership experience.
• Experience in service industry kitchen management preferred.
• Red Seal Chef credential preferred but not required.

This is a WORKING CHEF role, located at a remote fly-in mining facility or exploration camp in Northern Saskatchewan.

WE COVER THE COSTS OF YOUR TRANSPORTATION, MEALS, & ACCOMMODATIONS WHILE AT SITE.

SHIFT WORK & COMPRESSED WORKWEEKS REQUIRED; SCHEDULES ARE 2-WEEK IN-AND-OUT ROTATIONS WITH 11-HOUR DAYS.

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG & ALCOHOL TEST.

• Good knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Camp Manager programs.
• Valid Driver's license preferred.
• Current First responder certificate would be an asset.
• You must be a team leader, who works well with others.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a larger team.
