Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare food according to recipe and portion expectations.
2. Supervise a small team of staff.
3. Ensure presentation and garnishing meet standards.
4. Lead by example, delivering extraordinary service and food.
5. Prepare and garnish food orders in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
6. Support team members to achieve optimal quality.
7. Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times.
8. Ensure proper shutdown procedures are followed according to departmental standards.

What You Bring

• Two or more years of experience in a Cook 1 position with extensive culinary skills.
• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent education.
• Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.
• Solid understanding of meat, starches, sauces, soups, and food safety preparation.
• Foodsafe Certificate is an asset.
• Well-rounded skills in all kitchen areas, including pastry, sauces, and line cooking.
• Strong leadership and training abilities.
• Calm under pressure, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
