Job summary

Aramark is hiring an Executive Chef at Bishop's University to lead culinary vision and food service operations across multiple dining locations on campus. You will craft innovative menus, optimize operations, and champion sustainable practices while upholding safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will supervise a diverse team, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement, with a strong focus on health, safety, and guest experience in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 5 years experience in a high-volume food service or restaurant environment.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset as the university environment is primarily English-speaking.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate rigor and method in daily work.
  • Certificate in hygiene and sanitation (MAPAQ).
  • Diploma in food service management/dietary technology/DEP in institutional cooking.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise culinary operations across multiple locations and ensure compliance with quality standards and operational excellence.
  • Develop innovative, balanced menus tailored to the needs of a diverse clientele.
  • Manage menu planning, cost control, and pricing strategies.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory management, receiving, and food production activities.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor operating budgets.
  • Control food and labor costs to ensure efficient resource management.
  • Actively contribute to the development of sustainable and responsible culinary initiatives.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the skills of the culinary team.
  • Identify training needs and support employee development and talent growth.
  • Conduct culinary presentations and cooking demonstrations during special events.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality food in a high-volume environment.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety where employee well-being is a top priority.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and perform other related duties as required.

The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00.
