Job summary

Saputo is seeking a Cheesemaking Production Supervisor at our Orangeville facility in Ontario. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead production staff and oversee day-to-day operations to ensure safe, efficient, and quality dairy production targets are met.

You will schedule equipment and personnel, use operational data to monitor trends, maintain compliance with health, food safety and environmental standards, and actively develop a positive, high-performance team culture at Saputo

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Food Sciences, Dairy Technology, Microbiology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience (dairy or food manufacturing preferred).
• Strong knowledge of dairy operations with emphasis on processing and sanitation.
• Proficient with Kronos is an asset.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills; able to manage a large team.

Responsibilities

• Lead production employees and oversee day-to-day operations to meet quality, health and safety targets.
• Schedule equipment and personnel to meet production requirements; monitor trends with operational data.
• Ensure compliance with Saputo Orangeville policies and health, safety, and food safety standards.
• Liaise with Maintenance to minimize downtime and protect product safety and quality.
• Foster a professional, positive work environment and manage interviews and performance conversations.
