Job summary

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Warehouse Attendant II in Orangeville, Ontario. You will move ingredients and packaging materials to production lines, load/unload trucks, and maintain accurate inventories with strict lot traceability.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will support daily operations from 2:30pm to 11pm, with salary progression in the first year. Saputo offers comprehensive benefits and an Employee Share Ownership Plan.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of similar experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience on MHE equipment (Raymond Reach, End Rider, Electric walkie).
  • Strong organizational and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Move ingredients and packaging materials to/from production lines and maintain warehouse organization.
  • Load and unload trailers and trucks, following inspection procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of raw materials and staging coolers; support lot traceability.
  • Prepare finished goods for transfer to the Distribution Centre; ensure documentation is complete.

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Warehouse Attendant II, for an existing opportunity within our organization.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Attendant II is accountable to ensure ingredients, packaging materials are moved to and from the production lines in a timely manner, including warehouse organization and replenishment system, loading and unloading trucks, receiving, lot traceability, maintaining accurate inventories for coolers and warehouse as well as removing and preparing finished goods from lines to transfer to the Vaughan Distribution Centre.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm to 11pm

Salary: $26.15

There are salary increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $27.55/hour.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Comply withall Saputo Orangeville Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality regulations
  • Attend scheduled shift regularly and punctually ready to fulfil all dutiesrequired

  • Supply, remove and accurately record movement of all packaging materials and ingredients to/from all production lines
  • Staging supplies for the following day’s production
  • Responsible for lot traceability of ingredients and packaging
  • Answering of speaker pages and requests ina timelyand efficient manor
  • Work withwarehouseteam to prioritize daily work to suitneedsof production.
  • Loading and unloading of trailers and trucks, while following inspectionprocedure.
  • Assistingproduction and packaging workers with requests for supplies
  • Use of computer and Maestrosystemto input andmaintainaccuratedata.
  • Receiving courier packages/materials and delivery toproperrecipient.
  • Planning ofreplenishment for production needs and bulk cheese.
  • Use ofMHE equipmenttransferskids, bring down materials from racking and loading/unloading trucks.
  • Remove finished goods from production lines and ensureaccuratecounts and documentation in preparation for transfer to the Distribution Centre
  • Maintainaccurateand up to date inventories of raw materials and staging cooler
  • Maintain the dry goods warehouse in an organized and clean state – responsible for functioning of the replenishment system
  • Receiving of chemicals, compressed gases and other miscellaneous materials delivered directly to the plant
  • Bulk cheese preparation from staging cooler
  • General housekeeping/organization of both staging cooler and warehouse
  • Accurately document all required paperwork, including any documentation required for SQF
  • Lead by example andassistwheneverrequiredto ensure top performanceon line
  • Wear all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Participate in daily mandatory stretching program
  • Adhere to good hand washing practices to ensure food safety
  • Other duties as assigned
