Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking a Charge Registered Technologist in Histology/Cytology for the Centenary Site. Under the Manager and Administrative Director, the role plans, organizes and coordinates all activities in Histology and Cytology, guiding staff to maintain high-quality performance and regulatory compliance.

Required: CMLTO registration (Histology or Cytology), ARTO or relevant bachelor’s degree preferred, and at least five years of histology/cytology leadership plus six

Qualifications

• CMLTO registration in Histology or Cytology is required.
• Advanced Registered Technologist or relevant bachelor’s degree/certificate preferred.
• Minimum five years of histology or cytology leadership experience and six years overall histology experience.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams and participate in digital pathology initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of histology/cytology procedures and IQMH-related standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and coordinate all activities related to Histology and Cytology.
• Assist and direct technical staff to ensure high quality performance and compliance with standards.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workload and workflow across histology and cytology areas.
• Support implementation and transformation of digital pathology projects.
