Key Responsibilities :
Change Manager
- Assist strategic level staff and management with administration and coordination of Requests for Change (RFC) including any and all changes to controlled digital infrastructure (ie. Additions to or movement of IT assets) and related Impact Assessments (IA) which outline potential changes request by other organizations that might have an impact applications, networks, or other digital infrastructure.
- Review RFCs and IAs submitted for compliancy with Departmental Change Management (CM) standards and policies.
- Review submitted CM supporting documentation for consistency with policies and procedures, to include technical notes, briefing materials, concept of operations and technical documentation.
- Coordinate CM activities including, scheduling and managing CM activities leading to Departmental review and eventual approval.
- Coordinate and track all applicable RFCs and IA activity that requires additional review to ensure that they are properly addressed in a timely manner.
- Leverage existing Departmental organizations and CM clients, as required to : research, develop and provide advice and recommendations on the development and enhancement of policies and procedures.
- Anticipate trends and forecast CM requests in support of operational and support requirements based upon provided schedules and planning documentation.
- Provide hands-on and / or remote based assistance to users on the Departmental CM internally developed web based tools.
- Review existing CM and IA work processes and provide assessment as to their efficiency and effectiveness to meet current and emerging developments.
- Assist Strategic level management, on an as required basis, as a representative or participant at CM and RFC related work groups, meetings, conferences held within Canada.
What you must bring to this role :
- Must have Bachelor degree or higher.
- Bilingual in Canada's both official languages
- Candidate must have SECRET clearance and be eligible to be enrolled in the Controlled Goods Program
- Have a background in telecommunications or Aviation
