About the Role

On behalf of our client in the Banking industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Change Manager ready to take on new challenges.

Your Responsibilities

As a Change Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing projects with moderate to high regulatory oversight.
• Working in close partnership with all project stakeholders to align plans, timelines, expectations, and deliverables to meet project objectives.
• Using negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholder groups to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Ensuring projects are delivered based on agreed scope, timeline, and budget.
• Managing resolution of issues and risks effectively, escalating them when necessary.
• Communicating project status effectively to stakeholders.
• Managing project financials, including monthly variance analysis, program benefits, and ongoing costs.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project management artifacts in line with Change Delivery methodologies, including waterfall, rapid, and Agile practices.
• Being considered a subject matter expert on project management practices, procedures, and principles.
• Managing initiatives through to completion, including planning, execution, control, and closure.
• Exercise discretion in managing correspondence and information, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Coordinating with enterprise control partners (e.g., EPDE, Strategic Sourcing Group, Legal, TRMIS, OCDO) to select, engage, and manage external service providers as needed.
• Leading a diverse business team to deliver scope and quality in initiatives.
• Participating in global change projects within the financial industry.

Your Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in change delivery roles such as Project Manager or Scrum Master.
• Experience and expertise in Capital Markets and large regulatory change projects, including AML and Sanctions.

Key Skills:

• Understanding of end-to-end dealer functions (trade booking, regulatory reporting, risk, P&L, confirmations, settlements, cash reconciliation).
• Experience with Middle and Back Office functions (trade booking, confirmations, settlements, reference data).
• Strong knowledge of Security, Client, Account, and SSI reference data.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Proven success in project delivery, especially in Capital Markets and regulatory initiatives.
• Experience with US Treasury operations.
• Data analysis and requirements gathering skills.
• Familiarity with Jira, Scrum, Testing UAT, SQL is a plus.
