Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Challenging Behavior Coordinator for the Continuing Care program. The role focuses on facilitating and supporting the Behavioural Health Program within the continuing care sector to care for older persons with complex cognitive and mental health needs.

The CBRC will lead education, guidance and collaboration across providers, promoting integrated care, and will travel to sites within the Central Zone as required.

Qualifications

• University degree in a regulated healthcare profession with a minimum of five years' experience.
• Member in good standing with college or regulatory body in Nova Scotia.
• Minimum two years clinical experience with responsive behavior in continuing care, geriatrics or mental health.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support implementation of the Behavioural Health Program in continuing care.
• Provide guidance to promote coordination and integration of services across sites.
• Lead education and knowledge transfer using adult learning principles.
• Travel to other sites throughout the Central Zone is required.
