Job summary

Health Association Nova Scotia is recruiting Continuing Care Assistants to support clients across the Central Zone and beyond in Nova Scotia. You will join an interdisciplinary team delivering personal care, daily living assistance, and compassionate support in home care or long-term care settings.

Certification as a Provincial Continuing Care Assistant is required, with eligibility for the CCA RPL program.

Qualifications

• Provincial Continuing Care Assistant Certification is required.
• Enrollment in or eligibility for CCA RPL program is needed.
• Students in nursing, CCA programs, and internationally educated nurses will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care activities (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Perform light housekeeping duties and assist with meals.
• Provide respite for families and caregivers; document client information and concerns.
• Engage residents in leisure and recreational activities.

Education

Provincial Continuing Care Assistant Certification
