The role involves maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fire alarm, fire extinguisher, emergency lighting, and other life safety systems at our Ottawa branch. Qualifications include CFAA certification, 2 years electronics education or equivalent, 5+ years in fire alarm systems, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

  • CFAA certification is required.
  • Two years of community college in electronics or equivalent training/work experience is an asset.
  • 5+ years of previous training/experience in fire alarm systems is required.
  • Programming experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of computers.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
  • Must be available to work afternoons/nights on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest standard of system reliability and client satisfaction.
  • Perform verifications on fire alarm systems.
  • Complete work orders and report in a timely fashion.
  • On-call for emergency service calls/work.
  • Act as liaison between customer and Troy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
