Job summary

MacDonald Search Group partners with a global systems integrations firm to recruit a Fire Alarm Technician for their Calgary team. The role focuses on servicing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and commissioning commercial fire alarm systems while delivering excellent customer service.

You'll perform start-ups, programming, and testing, respond to service calls, and mentor junior technicians. A CFAA certification and 2+ years of experience are required, with Edwards EST-3/EST-4 assets favored.

Qualifications

• CFAA Fire Alarm Technician Certification required.
• 2+ years' commercial fire alarm experience.
• Experience with installation, commissioning, startup, and servicing of fire alarm systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with Edwards systems and EST-3/EST-4 certifications is a strong asset.
• Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field is an asset.
