Job summary

Wright Tree Service of Canada is seeking a Utility Arborist (CUA) to join our team. This full-time position reports to the General Foreperson and focuses on vegetation management for utility infrastructure.

We offer mentoring, strong safety culture, and employee ownership, with pay between $40 and $45 per hour based on experience, certifications, and commitment to development. Travel to marshaling points is required.

Qualifications

• Certified Utility Arborist (CUA).
• Valid Class 5 drivers’ license, with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Applicants must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Trim, prune, and remove trees or branches that pose a risk to utility infrastructure
• Use industry-standard techniques to safely remove trees without causing damage
• Operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, and cranes
• Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment
• Maintain accurate records of vegetation management activities
• Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect nearby habitats
• Perform other duties as required
