Job Description: Pharmacy Technician Acute Care

The Pharmacy Technician Acute Care assists in receiving, dispensing, and delivering non-controlled and controlled medications to patients in need of treatment. Working under close supervision, this role supports the registered pharmacist in delivering high-quality, safe patient care.

1. Assists with receiving and stocking pharmaceuticals and supplies to ensure availability for the registered pharmacist.
2. Delivers pharmaceuticals and supplies to departments outside of the pharmacy.
3. Operates technology to assist with receiving, stocking, preparing, and labeling non-controlled medications.
4. Delivers high-quality medical care to patients by making medications available for use.
5. Completes medication regulatory and compliance activities.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Required: 1 year of work experience (pharmacy experience preferred but not required)
