Alberta Health Services is seeking a Certified MDR Tech to decontaminate, reassemble and sterilize surgical instrumentation and hospital supplies at the Fort Saskatchewan area. The role emphasizes aseptic technique and universal precautions to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
Responsibilities include verifying equipment functionality, performing QA testing, and reporting issues to supervision. Candidates should hold an accredited MDR program and HSPA or CSA certification; CSA preferred.
As a Surgical Processor, you will be responsible for the decontamination, reassembly and sterilization of hospital supplies, equipment and surgical instrumentation. You will use the principles of aseptic technique and follow Universal Precautions in the prevention of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI). You will ensure instrumentation and equipment is in proper working order, perform biological, chemical and quality assurance testing and report problems to the supervisor or designate.
Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program.Completion of an Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:CSA certification is preferred.
