Job summary

Kal Tire is seeking a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on a range of vehicles in our Calgary store at 10999- 40 St SE, Calgary. This full-time, permanent role offers a structured schedule and opportunities for growth.

You will mentor apprentices, collaborate with an experienced team, and contribute to safety and quality standards while expanding your skills toward a Lead Technician role.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experience in inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
