ABOUT THE ROLE
The Reclamation Center is seeking to fill one Heavy Duty Mechanic position reporting to the Shop Foreman, Maintenance. We are looking for a proactive, well-organized individual who thrives in a challenging work environment and prioritizes safety while ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of assignments.
This position is located at our Highvale Mine (SunHills) site, just south of Wabamun Lake, approximately 65 kilometers west of Edmonton, Alberta.
Please note: This is an IBEW Local 254 position covered by the collective agreement.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide maintenance, installation, and repair functions on a site-wide basis.
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as required due to changing circumstances and the environment of the Reclamation center or Company.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician Trades certificate (4-year Offroad Certification).
- Farm equipment experience is preferred.
- Class 1 license is an asset; Class 5 license is mandatory.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (Microsoft, uploads, downloads, data entry).
- Commitment to working in a team environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- This is a full-time safety-sensitive position. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
