Job summary

Bombardier in Montreal, QC is seeking a Process and Tools Analyst to standardize and improve the Planning function’s practices across sites. You will document processes, define governance, and support digital transformation initiatives.

You will collaborate with IT and operations teams, develop training content, and maintain competency matrices to foster onboarding and knowledge transfer within the Planning community. Fluency in English and French is valued.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of professional experience as an analyst or project manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, engineering, or related field.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with process improvement and digital transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry or experience in complex manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Ability to work on-site at Montréal-area facilities at least two days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Define and document roles, responsibilities and processes for the Planning function.
  • Develop, maintain and harmonize Planning processes, standards and practices across sites.
  • Ensure governance and consistent application of planning processes.
  • Identify opportunities to remove non-value-added activities and improve efficiency.
  • Define business needs, write functional requirements and support new solutions.
  • Serve as the functional focal point for Planning tools and ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement digital solutions for automation.
  • Coordinate with other functions for enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Assess opportunities involving automation and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain the Planning function’s knowledge domain and competency matrices.
  • Create structured training content for onboarding and knowledge transfer.

The Process and Tools Analyst will play a key role in standardizing, continuously improving and transforming the Planning function’s practices. Working closely with teams across various sites, the analyst will help define, document and harmonize processes, standards and work methods, while promoting consistent governance and uniform application. The analyst will also develop and maintain the function’s knowledge domain by structuring training content, guides and reference tools, and by standardizing competency and versatility matrices to support onboarding, development and knowledge transfer across the Planning community. Finally, the analyst will help identify business needs and will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Planning and Industrial Engineering department’s IT roadmap, in collaboration with stakeholders, to support automation, digital transformation and improved operational efficiency.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Define and document the roles, responsibilities and processes related to the Planning function.
  • Develop, maintain and harmonize Planning processes, standards and practices across the various sites and programs.
  • Ensure the governance of planning processes and their consistent application.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate non-value-added activities and improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in defining and executing the Planning function’s technology roadmap (IT Roadmap).
  • Define business needs, write functional requirements and support the implementation of new solutions.
  • Act as the functional focal point for Planning tools and ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement digital solutions that support automation and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with the various functions to ensure enterprise-wide alignment of transformation initiatives.
  • Assess opportunities involving automation, artificial intelligence and advanced analytics tools.
  • Develop and maintain the Planning function’s knowledge domain.
  • Develop and maintain job profile matrices and competency matrices for the Planning community.
  • Create and maintain a structured training document for new employees to facilitate onboarding and knowledge transfer.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience as an analyst or project manager.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, engineering or a related field.
  • You demonstrate strong influential leadership and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • You demonstrate strong research and analytical skills, with a high degree of rigor and close attention to detail.
  • You have experience managing process improvement and digital transformation projects.
  • You have knowledge of the aerospace industry (an asset) or, alternatively, experience in a complex manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • You can work in both French and English.
  • A good understanding of production planning processes is considered an asset.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • You can work on-site at one of our Montréal-area facilities at least two (2) days per week, and occasionally more, in accordance with the policy in effect.
