Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a Central Planning Process & Tools Analyst in the Planning & Methods group to drive governance, standardization and automation across sites and programs.

The role requires 5+ years as an analyst or project manager, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong leadership and stakeholder management, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint and Visio. On-site at Montréal-area facilities with hybrid policy where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of professional experience as an analyst or project manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated influential leadership and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Experience leading process improvement and digital transformation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Define and document the roles, responsibilities and processes for the Planning function.
  • Develop, maintain and harmonize Planning processes, standards and practices across sites and programs.
  • Govern the planning processes and ensure consistent application.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate non-value-added activities and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in defining and executing the Planning function's technology roadmap (IT Roadmap).
  • Define business needs, write functional requirements and support implementation of new solutions.
  • Act as the functional focal point for Planning tools and ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement digital solutions that support automation and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with functions for enterprise-wide alignment of transformation initiatives.
  • Assess opportunities involving automation, AI and advanced analytics tools.
  • Develop and maintain the Planning function's knowledge domain and competency matrices.
  • Create and maintain a structured training document for onboarding.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Define and document the roles, responsibilities and processes related to the Planning function.

  • Develop and maintain job profile matrices and competency matrices for the Planning community.
  • Create and maintain a structured training document for new employees to facilitate onboarding and knowledge transfer.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience as an analyst or project manager.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, engineering or a related field.
  • You demonstrate strong influential leadership and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • You demonstrate strong research and analytical skills, with a high degree of rigor and close attention to detail.
  • You have experience managing process improvement and digital transformation projects.
  • You have knowledge of the aerospace industry (an asset) or, alternatively, experience in a complex manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • You can work in both French and English.
  • A good understanding of production planning processes is considered an asset.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • You can work on-site at one of our Montréal-area facilities at least two (2) days per week, and occasionally more, in accordance with the policy in effect.
