Job summary

TRICAN is hiring a Cement Twin Operator for Fort St. John. The role focuses on safe operation of equipment during shifts, following safety and regulatory policies, and efficient transport of pumping and bulk hauling gear between sites.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, manage logs and paperwork, and maintain equipment. Strong driving, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential, with on‑call scheduling and weather‑driven work patterns.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's license required.
  • High school diploma is an asset.
  • Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested.
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety is the priority in all activities according to company values.
  • Adhere to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, and client policies and regulations.
  • Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations under supervision.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete driver logs.
  • Maintain unit binders, permits, regulatory paperwork, inspections, and maintenance docs.
  • Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment.
  • Rig-out equipment for travel and move to next site.
  • Perform maintenance on pumping units and auxiliary equipment.

The Cement Twin Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
  • Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
  • Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
