Job summary

TRICAN in Brooks, Alberta is seeking a Cement Operator to safely operate equipment during shifts. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, rig-up and rig-out of pumping equipment, and maintain logs and paperwork in compliance with safety standards.

The role requires a valid driver's license, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work 15 days on and 6 days off in all weather conditions. Local candidates preferred; pre-employment medical testing required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1, 3 or 5 Driver's license required.
• High school diploma is an asset.
• Safe driving skills; driver's abstract will be requested.
• Physically fit - heavy lifting required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Skilled in problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of cement pumping equipment during shift.
• Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between sites safely.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete driver logs.
• Keep unit binders up to date with permits and regulatory paperwork.
• Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment.
• Rig-out of equipment for travel and move to following site.
• Perform maintenance on pumping units and auxiliary equipment.

CEMENT OPERATOR - BROOKS (BRT)

The Cement Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Trican's core value, "Safe equipment and operations" is the priority in all activities
• Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
• Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
• Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
• Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
• Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
• Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills:

• Valid Class 1, 3 or 5 Driver'slicence required

Working Conditions:
