Job summary

Trican in Grande Prairie, Alberta is seeking a Class 5 Cement or Coil Operator to safely operate equipment during shifts, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. You will drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling gear, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and maintain complete documentation, including permits and logs, while supporting site moves and equipment upkeep.

This role requires living near Grande Prairie, being on-call 24 hours, and passing pre-employment medical

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 license with interest in obtaining Class 1.
• High school diploma is an asset.
• Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment safely under supervision.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and driver logs.
• Keep unit binders up to date with permits and maintenance documentation.
• Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment.
• Rig-out of all equipment for travel and move to following site.
• Perform maintenance on pumping units and auxiliary equipment.

CLASS 5CEMENT OR COIL OPERATOR – GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)

The Class 5 Cement or Coil Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
• Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
• Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
• Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
• Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
• Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
• Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills:

• Valid Class 5license with interest in obtaining Class 1
• High school diploma is an asset
• Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
• Physically fit – heavy lifting required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong leadership and managerial skills
• Skilled in problem-solving techniques
