As the preferred marketing provider to Costco, CDS Part Time Product Demonstrators introduce Costco members to new food or products and enjoy a flexible part-time schedule. We drive sales and engage with customers in a creative way!

Qualifications

• Age 17 or older
• Customer service oriented
• Seeking a flexible part-time schedule, available 2-3 days a week including 1 weekend day
• Comfortable interacting with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
• Aim for rapid advancement opportunities
• Able to stand for up to 6 hours a day and lift up to 22 pounds
• Open interviews every Wednesday from 1pm-4pm — just inform the door person you're there for CDS

Responsibilities

The company is a leading North American sales and marketing agency, providing outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services to food and consumer packaged goods manufacturers, suppliers, and producers. We serve various trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers.

As the in-house product demonstration company for Costco Wholesale, CDS employees provide high-quality product demonstrations and marketing services to increase sales and create a positive member experience. Responsibilities include:

1. Engaging consumers to create brand awareness and enthusiasm
2. Selling products dynamically to members
3. Assisting team members in a collaborative environment
4. Setting up and organizing merchandise and sampling products per instructions
5. Cleaning, sanitizing, and properly storing equipment after the event
6. Adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
7. Participating in safety policies and practices
8. Performing other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (0-2 years of experience in retail, grocery, sales, or food service highly desirable)
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain high service and quality standards
• Experience in building and maintaining customer relationships
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a fast-paced environment
• Professional Food Safety Certification
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Flexible schedule, including weekends

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a retail in-store environment, requiring physical activity such as lifting up to 10 kg, standing for long periods, and working in cold conditions (refrigerated/freezer sections). Proper safety practices are essential.
