Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a CBSA Airport-Tactical Security Guard (Part-Time) to support CBSA operations at the airport in Toronto, Ontario. You will contribute to high-security environments, perform wellness checks, monitor security systems, and report incidents with professionalism.

The role requires a valid First Aid and CPR certification, 1 year of tactical security experience, and the ability to obtain necessary clearances.

Qualifications

• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Advanced Security Training (AST) – asset.
• Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident with a minimum of 5 years residency in Canada.
• High school diploma or equivalent (proof required).
• Ability to successfully obtain Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a tactical security role.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of individuals, property, and assets within the CBSA airport facility.
• Escort detainees within the premises using restraints when required.
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and composure when interacting with individuals under stress.
• Observe, monitor, and report detainee behaviour and safety concerns.
• Perform frequent wellness and safety checks.
• Operate security systems, software, and equipment effectively.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using tactical communication and de-escalation techniques.
• Complete clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports.
