JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be a key member of the catering events team, focusing on converting leads into bookings, contracting, planning, logistics, and collaborating with our banquets and Mountain teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences from start to finish.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Client Consultation: Consult with clients to understand their event requirements and expectations, including site inspections.
  2. Event Planning: Coordinate catering logistics, including menu selection, vendor referrals, costing, floor plans, event flow, load-in/strike timelines, and activities.
  3. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Liaise with food & beverage, guest services, and operations to ensure high client satisfaction.
  4. Optimize Revenue: Stay informed on industry trends, identify new business opportunities, and promote additional services.
  5. Post-Event Feedback: Conduct evaluations and implement improvements based on feedback.
  6. Administrative Duties: Manage client contracts, banquet event orders, kitchen sheets, and billing.
  7. Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts, accounts, and suppliers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • At least 2 years of catering sales and event experience preferred
  • Strategic thinking and independent work skills
  • Strong oral communication and rapport-building abilities
  • Presentation and objection handling skills; ability to manage multiple events under tight deadlines
  • Positive work ethic and attitude
  • Passion for events and guest satisfaction
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
WORKING CONDITIONS

Flexibility in work schedule is required, including shifts on weekends and holidays. The role involves standing for long periods, lifting, twisting, and manual tasks.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Annual salary: $55,000 to $65,000. Benefits include:
