Reporting to the Senior Category Manager Customer Experience, Procurement, the Category Lead will work closely with business partners and colleagues to support the strategic direction of the team. Your tasks will include establishing commercial arrangements, leading sourcing events, analyzing data, and executing contractual documents aligned with strategic business objectives. Your efforts will enhance Procurement's role as a trusted advisor, optimize spend, drive best practices, and develop future strategies to meet our goals.

What You'll Do
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier and category strategies meet business needs.
  2. Execute sourcing events and evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and innovation.
  3. Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
  4. Develop supplier programs for continuous improvement.
  5. Analyze category data, including spend and contractual arrangements.
  6. Develop category strategies and foster key supplier partnerships.
  7. Advise business partners on procurement best practices and strategic insights.
  8. Manage supplier issues and disputes, including negotiations and settlements.
  9. Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and automation in procurement practices.
  10. Implement ethical procurement practices, policies, and social responsibility initiatives.
  11. Act as an internal consultant on sourcing, supplier performance, compliance, and risk management.
What You'll Bring
  1. 3-5 years of relevant procurement experience in telco, media, or related fields.
  2. Knowledge of market trends affecting costs.
  3. Experience with services like Contact Centres, Credit Operations, Collections, Sales, Banking, or Back Office.
  4. Strong relationship-building and business acumen.
  5. Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to executives.
  6. Ability to handle ambiguity and resolve conflicts.
  7. Resilience and a solution-oriented mindset.
  8. Collaborative work style and stakeholder engagement skills.
  9. Self-motivation and ability to quickly learn technical topics.
  10. Experience in negotiations and analytical problem-solving.
  11. Adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
  12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Project.
