Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises is hiring CAT-VAC Operators for a seasonal client site in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Roles require TDG knowledge and wiggle wagon operating experience, with a Class 5 license and a mechanically inclined, physically fit profile.

Operators will work 14-on/7-off, day and night shifts, and join a team with competitive wages, EAP, and an employee referral program. Preference given to local candidates; safety and training are emphasized on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Previous CAT Vac, Wiggle wagon experience (CAT 740,745).
• Experience operating Water, Vacuum, Hydro, or ComboVac units is an asset.
• Mining drive experience.
• Eligible to work at Syncrude Site.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass Birch Mountain evaluation, D&A, and fit-for-duty screening.

• Operate CAT Vac safely and efficiently.
• Be physically able to perform tasks in all weather conditions.
• Complete daily paperwork including logbooks and job orders.
• Follow Dispatch or Supervisor instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck and equipment.
• Attend toolbox and safety meetings and follow TDG/WHMIS standards.
• Maintain and operate tools according to standards.
• Keep training up to date.
• Seek continuous improvement opportunities.
• Provide customer-focused service at all times.

Job Summary:

Operating from our client’s site, this position involves the safe operation of CAT Vac's. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates who possess previous experience in the industrial sector and those with previous wiggle wagon experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• OperateCAT Vacsafely and efficiently.
• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in allweather.
• Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to dailylogbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post tripinspections.
• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.
• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of companyimage.
• Attend dailytoolboxand safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards andprocedures.
• Ensure that all training is keptcurrent.
• Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards andregulations.
• Seek out continuous improvementopportunities.
• Provide customer-focused services in allactivities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’sabstract.
• Previous CAT Vac, Wiggle wagon experience. (CAT 740,745)
• Previous or relatedexperience operating at least three of these types of units:Water, Vacuum, Hydro, orComboVac units, considered an asset.
• Minedriveexperience.
• Eligible to work at Syncrude Site.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A, and fit for duty pre-employmentscreening.
