Qualifications

  • Experience in handling Casualty Claims (CGL Claims) is required.
  • Knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Job description

Join to apply for the Casualty Claims Examiner role at QBE North America.

This is a great opportunity to join our dynamic and diverse claims team in Toronto handling a wide range of business lines, including Casualty (Non-Auto), Property, Motor, Professional Indemnity, and Cyber.

Primary Details:

  • Time Type: Full time
  • Worker Type: Employee

Your New Role:

  • Investigate, manage, and resolve claims efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and authority limits while managing claims.
  • Support the implementation of the Claims strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets.
  • Identify and investigate coverage issues to ensure that the company’s liability is in line with its contractual commitments.
  • Reserve accurately to ensure that the Company’s liability is always clear.
  • Respond proactively to messages, advice, and correspondence within agreed timeframes to provide a professional service to brokers and clients.
  • Manage estimates and billings from clients’ service providers and brokers, resolving discrepancies.
  • Interact regularly with key stakeholders including customers, brokers, and internal partners.
  • Manage disputed Claims and other material Claims issues to resolve and settle claims economically.

About you:

  • Experience in handling Casualty Claims (CGL Claims) is required; some experience in Property claims is an asset.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
  • Organizational, investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to make balanced and impartial judgments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Relationship Management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and strong IT skills.
