Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is offering winter casual road maintenance opportunities across Alberta from October 1st to April 30th.

We are seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals to help keep Alberta’s highways safe while working close to home and with local communities. Join Ledcor Highways to operate snowplow trucks and wheel loaders, perform related maintenance tasks, and support safety initiatives in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Physical tasks up to 50 lbs
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
• Experience operating snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset, training provided

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways including Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation)
• Be available for on-call work to assist with weather events, emergencies and staff coverage as needed
• Work outside in all weather conditions
