Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is seeking motivated individuals for winter casual road maintenance across Alberta from October 1 to April 30. You will operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment to keep highways safe and perform labourer duties as needed.

On-call availability is required, with outdoor work in all weather conditions. Preference given to those with Class 1, 2, or 3 licenses and an air endorsement; pre-employment drug testing is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 license with air endorsement and a clean 3-year driving abstract.
• Experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is an asset; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways and assist with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation).
• Be available for on-call work to assist with weather events, emergencies and staffing coverage.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
