Job summary

DHL Express currently has an opening for a Casual Warehouse position in Edmonton, AB. The role requires availability Monday to Friday, 8am–8pm, with a wage of $23.38/hour and increases per the collective bargaining agreement.

You will perform warehouse tasks, forklift-related duties, and contribute to efficient delivery operations. Responsibilities include packaging, scanning, sorting, and reporting while maintaining safety and teamwork within the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned deliveries and pickups per supervisor instructions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Scan freight and organize freight by route.
• Sort and process inbound material by deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse workspace.
• Assist Tracing Department with warehouse checks for misorts/on-hands.

Shift: Must have availability from Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm. There are no set shifts for this role

Wage: $23.38/hour and will increase as per the CBA

How will you contribute?

• Complete assigned deliveries and pick ups and/or other tasks assigned by supervisor
• Vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Scan freight as per agreed procedures
• Organize and sort all freight to appropriate routes
• Move freight within the warehouse area as per requirements
• Accurately sort & process, by deadlines, in-bound material.
• Assist Tracing Department with thorough warehouse checks for missorts, on-hands, etc.
• Participate in the organization and clean-up of the warehouse area.
• Participate in maintaining a safe and co-operative work environment
• Assist Tracing Department with thorough warehouse checks for missorts, on-hands, etc.
• Perform Front Counter Duties
• Perform HIC duties
• Perform accurate reporting
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by the shift supervisor.

Do you have what it takes?

• Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70 lbs per piece, throughout shift.
• Forklift certificate
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on-time within tight time constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Meet security requirements
• Broad general working knowledge of warehouse functions.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the DHL operations system.
• High School Diploma
