Job summary

Magic Mountain Childcare is seeking on-call educators who can cover shifts when regular staff are absent. Ideal candidates are dependable, have strong communication with children and families, and are fluent in English.

Candidates must have or be willing to obtain Alberta Child Care certification levels 1–3, a recent criminal record check (vulnerable sector), and current First Aid/CPR. Flexible, full-day availability at least three days per week is valued.

• Recent childcare experience preferred

• Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Effective verbal and written communication skills including basic computer literacy
• Knowledge of Alberta child care legislation and licensing regulations would be an asset

About the Role

We are seeking individuals who possess a strong understanding of child development, exceptional engagement skills, and a dedication to fostering positive relationships with both children and colleagues. Prior experience is advantageous, and candidates must possess or be willing to obtain Alberta Child Care certification levels 1, 2, or 3, along with current criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) and first aid certification.

These are on-call positions where Directors will reach out to employees to cover shifts when regular Educators are absent. We are seeking individuals who have full-day availability at least three days per week. On average, employees can expect to work 1-4 shifts per week, depending on their preferences and the needs of the center.
