Job summary

The Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education invites applications for TEMPORARY CUSTODIANS across Colchester, East Hants, Pictou, and Cumberland Counties. This casual position has no guaranteed hours, and placement could lead to permanent employment. Rate of pay is $24.68/hr.

with required background checks and a Custodial Training Program prior to start. Applicants should have Grade 12 or GED, a valid NS driver’s license, and be willing to obtain WHMIS/first aid training.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Nova Scotia driver’s license.
• Experience with modern cleaning methods, materials and equipment is an asset.
• WHMIS and first aid training are expected/preferred.
• Must provide own transportation to work sites.
• Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check required.
• Child abuse register check required.
• Custodial Training Program must be completed before employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties as assigned in a casual/casual-temporary capacity.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across CCRCE facilities.
• Attend required training and adhere to CCRCE policies.
