Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for Ballycliffe LTC Residence in Ajax, ON. This casual, part-time role provides professional nursing care in a geriatric setting and directs support staff under the supervision of the RN.

You will liaise with physicians, participate in shift reports, and contribute to resident care plans in collaboration with the health care team. A current CNO Certificate of Competence is required, with a focus on safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing.
• Familiarity with relevant health acts and standards.
• Regulatory compliance and patient safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the RN, implements AgeCare policies on the unit.
• Provides input to procedures and unit improvements.
• Liaises with physicians and health care partners.
• Directs Personal Support Workers on care tasks.
• Participates in shift reports to inform the team of resident status changes.
