Job summary

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is seeking a Casual Registered Practical Nurse for Riverview Gardens Long-Term Care. The RPN will provide nursing care to residents, lead PSW staff, and coordinate with the health care team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include medication administration, vitals, wound care, and support for physicians and RNs. A valid CNO RPN license and a Practical Nursing program completion are required; the role is on-site with weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Practical Nursing program is required.
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RPN is required.
• Post-diploma geriatric program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for residents in the Long-Term Care Home.
• Direct and lead PSW staff to ensure quality care.
• Distribute medications and monitor vital signs (BP, pulse, temp).
• Assist RNs with respiratory and intravenous therapy.
• Collaborate with the health care team to plan and evaluate resident care.
• Ensure compliance with Ontario health and safety and provincial standards.
