Job summary

Pro Vita Care Management is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Sunset Manor in Chilliwack, BC. The role offers a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits in a supportive team environment.

Casual shifts: 8-16 hours per week with schedules across 0700-1500, 1500-2300, and 2300-0700. This position emphasizes resident care, infection control, and collaboration with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing program.
• Active LPN registration with BCCNM.
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Observing, monitoring, and documenting residents' physical and psychological conditions.
• Provide and assist with personal care to residents as required.
• Support emergency staff scheduling and coordination.
• Ensure adherence to infection control practices.
• Assess resident health status including differentiating normal vs abnormal findings and recognizing dementia vs delirium.

Responsibilities - YOUR Role

• Observing, monitoring, and documenting residents' physical and psychological conditions,
• Provides and assists with personal care to residents as required,
• Providing personal care as needed, and supporting emergency staff scheduling,
• Ensuring adherence to infection control practices
• Assesses resident health status including, but not limited to:
  • Differentiating between normal and abnormal physical findings
  • Recognizing deviations from mental health baseline, differentiating between dementia and delirium
