Job summary

Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada in London, ON is seeking an Intervenor to support people who are deafblind. The role offers casual or pick-up shifts (min.

20 hours/month) and requires assisting with daily living, communication, and personal care in home and community settings. Qualifications include a college diploma in Intervenor for Deafblind or related fields, ASL/SEE, and a valid G-class license.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or related human services field.
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours.
  • ASL or Signed Exact English (SEE) required.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in home and community environments.
  • Use communication techniques to relay information.
  • Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meals, housekeeping, and mobility.
  • Provide personal care as required (lifts, transfers, toileting, medication administration).
  • Assist with setting and supporting individual goals and program development.
  • Ensure documentation and records are complete.
