NAIT is seeking a casual Instructor to deliver lectures and demonstration labs to 3rd Year Apprentice Welders. You will cover metallurgy theory, heat treatment, destructive and non-destructive testing concepts, and related lab work in a postsecondary setting.
Responsibilities include preparing outcomes, organizing tasks, facilitating learning, and providing feedback to support student success in a collaborative environment. Lectures may require classroom and lab delivery within Canada.

Please Note: This is a casual position from November 1, 2026 until December 23, 2026.
The successful candidate will be an energetic, empathetic, and student focused instructor with a demonstrated commitment to motivating learners and supporting academic achievement. They will bring strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, along with proven experience delivering adult education in a postsecondary or skills-based learning environment. Proficiency with a variety of computer programs and systems, as well as the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, is essential.
This position will specifically need to be able to provide lectures and demonstration labs to 3rd Year Apprentice Welders; Including: Theory of basic metallurgy and heat treatment of steel Destructive Testing theory and demonstrations (hardness testing, tensile testing, Charpy impact testing, creep and fatigue testing, etc.) Non-Destructive Testing theory and demonstrations (Radiography, Ultrasonic Testing, Liquid Penetrant Inspection and Magnetic Particle Inspection)
Remuneration $108.18/scheduled instruction hour
