Job summary

The Town of Stony Plain is seeking casual firefighters to join the Community & Protective Services team at Fire Hall. You will respond to fires, rescues, medical calls, and other emergencies, serving the community with professionalism.

Applicants must be 18+, hold a High School diploma, Class 5 Non-GDL with ≤6 demerits, and a clean CRC incl. Vulnerable Sector. Residency in town limits is required, with training hours and NFPA pathways offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class 5 Non-GDL License with ≤6 demerit points.
• Clean Criminal Record Check incl. Vulnerable Sector.
• Residents must live within town limits.

Responsibilities

• Casual firefighters respond to calls for service including fires, rescues, medical aid, hazardous materials, and more.
• Be part of a team that protects lives and property.
• Participate in comprehensive training and certifications.
• Attend training sessions during weeknights and some weekends.
