The Vancouver Convention Centre is seeking an Event Technician on a Casual basis to join the Event Services team. The role supports event equipment installations and on-site coordination, working with the Senior Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure smooth operations.

Hours vary by event, with shifts of at least 8 hours between early morning and late night. The job requires physical fitness, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• LPEC certification preferred or obtainable within 8 months of start date.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with electrical and plumbing installations for events (under supervision).
• Collect, sort and restock electrical, compressed air and plumbing equipment.
• Maintain shop and work area cleanliness and organization to a high standard.
• Maintain an inventory list of tools and equipment.
• Review work orders and floor plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Schedule team based on event requirements and provide vacation coverage to Manager.
