Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Acadia, AB is seeking casual/supply/substitute early childhood educators to support child development aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum. The role emphasizes creating a safe, engaging learning environment and collaborating with families.

Applicants should have ECE Level 1 or a B.Ed./Equivalent, current First Aid and infant CPR, and comply with provincial childcare requirements. Housing a part of the BrightPath team provides discounts and benefits.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 1 Certification or B.Ed./Equivalent required.
• Meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
