Job summary

BrightPath Kids Marlborough, AB is seeking a Casual Early Childhood Educator (ECE) - Level 1 to work alongside teachers and families, providing a warm, home‑like environment for children. You will implement BrightPath’s curriculum and support each child's development.

Requirements include ECE Level 1 or B.Ed./Equivalent, provincial childcare credentials, current First Aid and infant CPR, and up‑to‑date immunizations.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 1 certification or B.Ed./equivalent required.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment as per local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum to support child development.
• Maintain a safe, clean and nurturing environment for children.
• Assess each child’s abilities and needs and discuss progress with families.
• Collaborate with co‑workers, management and families to support children.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Support classroom organization and materials upkeep.

What will you be doing?

As an Casual Early Childhood Educator (ECE) - Level 1 you will work side‑by‑side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well‑being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co‑workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education - Level 1 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
