Job summary

Southlake Health is seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist to join our radiology team in Newmarket. You will perform CT and radiography imaging, work with Radiologists, and ensure safety and quality across procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, Radiography from an accredited institution.
• CMRITO mandatory; MRT(R) or OAMRS recommended.
• IV Therapy and Central Venous Access Devices online training via SOLs or plans to complete.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and HARP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient‑focused care and optimum imaging in CT and Radiography at Southlake Health and sites.
• Evaluate image quality and ensure safe use of ionizing radiation per HARP.
• Assess patient condition and respond to contrast reactions promptly.
• Operate, troubleshoot and ensure imaging equipment is safe and effective; assist Radiologist as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
