Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance is seeking a cashier supervisor for our Terrebonne location. You will supervise the cashier team and collaborate with the Department Manager to ensure smooth operations during day and evening shifts.

The role requires prior cashier experience with leadership, a high school diploma, and a focus on accuracy in cash handling, inventory control, and PLU price listing. Week-to-week schedule includes 24–35 hours with day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of cashier experience and leadership skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise cashier team in collaboration with Department Manager.
• Manage purchases, inventories, PLU price lists and sales per hour per person to ensure business readiness.
• Train, evaluate and motivate team; oversee cash register accounting (money transfers, deposits, weekly verifications).

Responsibilities

• As cashier supervisor, you will be expected to perform various management activities within the department in collaboration with the Department Manager.
• In collaboration with the department manager, ensure the management of purchases, inventories, PLU price lists and respect the sales per hour per person in order to ensure business readiness.
• Train, evaluate and motivate the members of the team and carry out the various operations related to the accounting of the cash registers (money transfer, deposits, controls, weekly verifications, etc.).

Qualifications
