Job summary

SJ Shop at Devil's Glen Country Club in Clearview, ON is hiring a part-time cashier for the seasonal ski season. You’ll be the friendly face at checkout, handling transactions quickly and accurately while helping customers find what they need.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing sales and returns with the POS, balancing the till, answering questions, restocking, and maintaining a clean, welcoming checkout area. Weekend/holiday availability encouraged.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, retail or customer service experience is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person
• Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system, with strong attention to detail and basic math skills
• Friendly, positive and professional, with a genuine desire to help people
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Availability to work weekends / holidays / peak-season shifts as required
• An interest in skiing, snowboarding, cycling or the outdoors is a definite plus
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

• Process sales, returns, exchanges and gift card transactions accurately using the POS system
• Handle cash, debit and credit payments, and balance the till at the start and end of each shift
• Answer customer questions about products, pricing, promotions and store policies, and refer technical questions to knowledgeable team members
• Support the sales team by helping customers find what they need and suggesting complementary items
• Keep the checkout area and shop floor clean, organized and well stocked
• Tag, price and merchandise products, and assist with receiving and restocking as needed
• Follow all cash-handling, loss-prevention and health and safety procedures
• Communicate and work well with your team and the Devil's Glen staff and members
• Take on other retail duties as assigned

Location: Devil’s Glen Country Club, 1793 Simcoe Country Rd 1224, Clearview, ON

Employment type: Seasonal, Part-Time

Season: Approximately October/November – April 15th

Hours: Monday – Friday, Ski Operational Hours, Weekends, and Holidays as required.

Reports to: Managing Director / Shop Supervisor

Position Summary
