Job summary

Big Bear in Canada is hiring two full-time cashiers to serve the public with a friendly attitude and to manage cash and POS transactions. You will also stock shelves, receive inventory, and maintain a clean workspace while using smart serve practices to assess eligibility.

Applicants must be reliable, capable of serving vulnerable customers, and at least 19 years old. BARS training and liquor-sales experience are assets. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Wage: $18.51/hour
Full time: 35-40 hours/week
We have an exciting opportunity for you!
Come join our team at Big Bear. We are looking for two full time cashier, who is able to respectfully serve the public, use their discretion to identify customers who may be underage or intoxicated and refuse service. For your best chance please come introduce yourself in person!

Duties Include:
  • Serving customers with a friendly welcoming attitude
  • Stocking shelves and receiving inventory
  • Cleaning surfaces, and maintaining a sanitary work space
  • Dealing with cash and debit tenders on a POS system
  • Use smart serve practices to determine if customers can be served
  • refuse service to ineligible customers politely and respectfully
Skill Requirements:
  • Must be RELIABLE
  • must be able to serve vulnerable populations
  • Must be over 19
Skills we would consider an asset but are not required:
  • BARS training
  • Experience with liquor sales
  • knowledge of alcoholic beverages
