Job summary

Stong’s Market is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our Vancouver team. You will scan customer items, process payments, issue receipts, and help customers with questions about products and promotions.

The ideal candidate will show excellent customer service, accuracy in cash handling, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Training provided, with a focus on store cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register payments by cash, credit card, gift card, and debit.
• Maintain a cash register stock for full shift.

• Balance and reconcile cash at end of shift.
• Assist customers with questions about products, programs, and services.
• Ensure the store area is clean, safe, and organized.

Job description

We are looking for Cashier to join our team! The cashier isresponsible to scan the customer’s selections, ensure that prices andquantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, andprovide helpful information to customers about products, promotions, or itemlocation. They will also respond to customer concerns, process refunds orexchanges of items, and maintain a clean workspace.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer serviceskills and be able to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Process cash register payments by cash, creditcard, gift card, and debit
• Maintain a cash register stock for full shift
• Wrap and place merchandise in bags / carts
• Balance and reconcile cash at end of work shift
• Assist customers by answering questions about our products and programs (our loyalty cards), ongoing promotions and fundraisers, and our services (home delivery)
• Ensure the store isclean, safe and ready for shoppers; sanitize the check-stand conveyor belt
• Stock and replaceproducts in the check-stands and Customer Service desk
• Complete store openingand closing duties
• Performsother related duties as assigned
