Job summary

Colliers in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an accounting professional to support working papers for accruals, allocations, journal entries and reconciliations across business units. You will handle data entry, issue invoices, and contribute to monthly AR reporting while recording daily cash receipts in accounting and customer management systems.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting, AR experience, and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in an accounting role and a relevant Accounting Degree.
  • Experience with high-volume AR and banking transactions.
  • Experience with bank reconciliations.
  • ERP experience and strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams and D365).

Responsibilities

  • Record cash deposits for multiple business lines and regions, and process wire/ EFT banking transactions as requested by Treasury and other departments.
  • Maintain bank reconciliation working papers and enter/invoice as needed.
  • Assist in preparing working papers for accruals, allocations, journal entries and reconciliations for units of responsibility.
  • Prepare data for financial analyses and monthly accounts receivable reporting.

About You

Your role entails supporting the preparation of working papers for accruals, allocations, journal entries, and account reconciliations across various business units. You'll also handle data entry, invoice issuance, and contribute to monthly accounts receivable reporting. You will also be responsible for processing and recording daily cash receipts into accounting and customer management systems.

In this role, you will…
  • Record cash deposits for multiple business lines and regions, and process wire/EFT/etc. banking transactions as requested by Treasury and other departments.
  • Maintain bank reconciliation working papers for distribution to other teams. Also perform data entry and entering/issuing invoices.
  • Assists in preparation of working papers for accruals, allocations, journal entries and account reconciliations for units within area of responsibility.
  • Helps with compilation of data for various financial analysis, and prepare monthly accounts receivable reporting.
  • Provide support to junior cash accountants by reviewing and posting journal entries as well as review ledger reconciliations.
What You’ll Bring
  • 3+ years’ experience in an accounting related position, and a relevant Accounting Degree.
  • Strong aptitude with processing high volume of A/R and other banking related transactions
  • Experience with bank reconciliations.
  • ERP experience, and strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams and D365).

Approximate Compensation Range for Role: $56,250 to $75,000

Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
