Job summary

Street Worker's Advocacy Project Regina Inc. is hiring a Case Worker for its Raising Hope program, a supportive residential setting for pregnant and postnatal women and their children. You will provide coaching, counselling, advocacy, referrals and crisis prevention/intervention.

The Case Worker engages in goal setting with residents, supports addressing challenges, and participates in case management meetings. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required, and hours are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Qualifications

  • 6–9 years of relevant case-work experience.
  • Experience in group homes or family services is assets.
  • Knowledge of women and substance abuse issues.
  • Understanding prenatal and postnatal care and harm reduction.
  • A valid Class 5 Drivers License is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, counselling, advocacy, referrals and crisis prevention/intervention.
  • Engage in goal setting with residents and supporting them to address challenges and achieve goals.

The Street Worker's Advocacy Project is hiring a Case Worker for its Raising Hope program, a supportive residential program for pre and post natal substance using women and their children. The Case Worker is responsible for providing coaching, counselling, advocacy, referrals and crisis prevention/intervention. They will engage in goal setting with residents, helping them to identify challenges and supporting them to address these areas and achieve their goals; participate in case management meetings; provide transportation to appointments and activities; engage clients in financial planning; assist residents with building connections in the broader community to promote continued self-growth and wellness; and ensure the safety of residents and their children through the application of appropriate policies and procedures. The Case Worker also shares a rotating after hours on-call schedule. Previous experience working within a group home setting and/or working with families with similar challenges are assets. Please highlight your knowledge of women and substance abuse issues, prenatal and postnatal care, and harm reduction. A combination of education and experience will be considered. A valid Class 5 Drivers License is required. Hours of work are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
